Eight Offerings: Incense

Making offerings to the Three Jewels is a wonderful daily practice. Recalling enlightened qualities and cultivating a generous attitude and delight in giving is a wonderful way to start the day.

Incense offering is made to the noses of the enlightened beings, which symbolizes moral ethics or discipline. Moral discipline is one of the most important practices. Discipline is in the teaching of all Dharma.

Incense offering can be placed in the 4th offering bowl vertically.
